This Ramadan & Eid has been one of our busiest with many people attending Lewisham Islamic Centre.

Alhamdulillah, (Praise be to Allah) we served Iftar (meal to break the fast) for over 400 people on a daily basis, people were queuing to pray the night prayers inside the Masjid and it was also one of our busiest Eid Prayers at Mountsfield Park.

Furthermore, Allah Almighty further blessed the Lewisham Community with 30 People taking their Shahadah (declaration of faith) and joining Islam and our community.

Alhamdulillah (Praise belongs to Allah), through your donations we were able to raise over £84,000 pounds on the 27th Night of Ramadan and we now have over One Million Pounds saved for our New LIC Development.

Likewise, your kindness and respect towards our neighbours as well as our wider community members has been impeccable this year and it is greatly appreciated. It also shows how you as a community are putting Islam into practice.

Thus, I would like to take the opportunity to say Thank You and Jazakumullah Khayran to you all for your support for Lewisham Islamic Centre (LIC) this Ramadan & Eid.

A special note of gratitude to all LIC Staff & Volunteers as we could not serve the community without your dedication, hard work and sacrifice. May Allah Almighty bless you all and reward you all with goodness in this life and the next.

Lastly, I would like to thank our Civic Leaders and Faith Leaders who supported and attended our Open Iftar & Eid in the Park.
