Attack at Churches in Egypt

A horrific and brutal attack has taken place at two churches in Tanta and Alexandria in Egypt resulting in the murder of over 27 people.

As Faith Leaders in Lewisham we are united in standing together to reject all forms of violence and terrorism wherever they occur, in Egypt, London or elsewhere. They have no place within any faith.

We remain determined that attacks like these will not affect the good relationships that the various Faith-Communities have in the United Kingdom, and specifically in the London Borough of Lewisham.

We express our heartfelt condolences to the families and loved ones of the victims of the horrendous attack.
