Donations

When making a donation through our website or mobile apps, you may be asked to submit some personal information for the purpose of completing your transaction. This may include details such as your full name, email address and debit/credit card details, the latter of which will never be stored by our website or related server. We retain your name and email address from donations in order to identify and manage your donation should you need any assistance, as well as to clain Gift Aid through the UK Charity Commission. We do not store payment related data and only use this information, in encrypted format, to pass to our payment gateway partners and complete your donation transaction.

Contact forms

Should you wish to contact us via our contact form, and in doing so, will be asked to fill some information such as names, phone numbers and email addresses. This information helps us to get in contact with you to address your enquiry effectively. We may retain your submission for a period of time in line with this policy.

Should you wish to apply for specific services which require detailed identification information, applications will only be held on our server insofar as the Centre requires to review and approve your application; the forms applicable are:

• Islamic Marriage (Nikah)

Our web hosting service includes HTTP/3, a dedicated IP address, DDoS protection, and an SSL certificate.

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

What rights you have over your data
